Dear New Mama,

I’ve been reaching out to some other young mamas and their words of wisdom truly blessed my heart.

They’ve walked through some of the same postpartum emotions we’re navigating, and their advice was so meaningful that I wanted to share it with you.

I plugged their thoughts into ChatGPT to help organize them, and I hope this blesses you as much as it did me.

One mama reminded me of something so important: to look at the struggles through spiritual eyes. I have to admit, I haven’t been doing that, but it’s such a powerful shift in perspective.

I hope these words encourage you in this season.

You Are Not Alone in Your Postpartum Journey

Talking It Out is Powerful—And You’re Not Alone in Feeling This Way

The rollercoaster of emotions postpartum can feel overwhelming, but know this: it’s normal. Every mama worries about their baby’s health, safety, and well-being—it’s a sign of how deeply you love your child. Yes, it’s hard! But talking about what you’re going through, whether with a trusted friend, a partner, or a support group, can make all the difference. And remember, it gets easier as your little one grows stronger and more resilient.

Postpartum Struggles Are Real, but You Are Doing Holy Work

Mama, let’s call it what it is: postpartum can feel like a battleground for your heart and mind. But you’re doing holy, sacred work—the kind of work that strengthens your soul and draws you closer to Jesus. The struggles you face now are part of a beautiful, sanctifying process. Give yourself grace, because you deserve grace.

When you’re up in the middle of the night or battling feelings of doubt, remind yourself that this work has eternal significance. Your nurturing love for your baby is a reflection of Jesus’ love for us. You are not failing; you are growing.

What You Do Today Will Outlive You

The care and love you pour into your baby now will leave a legacy far beyond what you can see. Every lullaby sung, every diaper changed, every cuddle given—they all build a foundation of love and security that your child will carry for life. And someday, you’ll see the fruit of that labor. The kindness, nurturing spirit, and love they pass on to others will remind you of the seeds you planted when they were small.

Mama, you’ve got this. You are good, you are capable, and you are strong. One day, you’ll look back and see how far you’ve come—and you’ll know it was all worth it. Keep going. You are never alone in this.
