God’s still working … on me

The older I get the more I see the struggle and inner turmoil of humanity. I see that especially as a people pleaser (who is undergoing a reformation of that flaw) that the more you pour your heart into something, the more others will criticize.
Your best is never enough for others and some people will not clap for you. That’s Ok. That’s reality.
I think one has to come to the point that they understand who they’re working for and why their work matters.
I’ve written tons of stories about educators and why they love what they do. And it always comes back to leaving a positive impact, making a difference and seeing your seeds sown come to fruition.
I think it’s important to be passionate about your work, but to remember that you’re only human, you’re not perfect and as long as you follow your calling by God you will encounter opposition. It is inevitable.
But you know what else, you’ll grow and learn and hurt and heal and keep moving forward.
I believe we get in over our heads so we have no choice but to lay it at God’s feet. We will never be able to carry it all. But we don’t have to. I’m preaching to myself here.
People will come in and go out. They will disappoint. But they’re also catalysts that God can use to help us and encourage us as dear friends on this journey. And even the rough parts of humanity bring me closer to God and leave me in awe and wonder of how great His love for us is!
He loves the dust out of us.
And He’s still working on me.
”But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!“
Galatians 5:23 NLT
“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.”
Colossians 3:23 NLT
”And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”
Ephesians 3:18, 20 NLT
”Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.“
Psalms 51:7, 10 NLT
