I was too tired to pray… but God answered any way

The day was heavy. I pushed through. I didn’t know how heavy it was until I came home and spent time with those I love. It really put things into perspective.
Often in the Bible God sends angels as ministering spirits to His weary followers.
After work, He answered a prayer I was too tired to pray and He sent mine my way. She helped me cook dinner and held my baby in her lap. Before she left, she wrapped her arms around me and I said “Thanks, Mamma. I love you.”
What a gift she is! Thank You, God, for angels among us who love us when we need it the most!
I needed her time and care and listening ears because lately I’ve been stressed between juggling my personal and professional responsibilities with a young child and even serving with joy at church.
And the thought hits deep.
God answered. He provided before I even prayed the prayer.
Isaiah 65:24 speaks of the last days and of God’s servants, “I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!”
What a word!
Dear reader, has He ever done that for you?
Have you ever experienced a moment of deep emotion when you couldn’t express the need, but it was met?
The Bible says the Holy Spirit intercedes and prays for us when we don’t know what to pray.
“And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.” (Romans 8:26, NLT)
I can testify to that!
He also calls us to minister to others and to love deeply.
“Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.”(1 Peter 4:8, NLT)
Especially in times like these, I am grateful for a loving Father and a loving mom and of course everyone who encourages me to be like Jesus.
Our mental health is so impacted by our mindset and those who we surround ourselves with. This is something especially true and at the forefront as we walk through a month set aside as Suicide Prevention Month.
Dear reader, wherever you are in your journey, I pray that this post will remind you to trust in God and to minister to others.
Reach out if you need a hug. Most of the time you will get one. Be a true friend and love on those around you.
The Bible says, “So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:11, NLT)
Remember, time is precious not limitless. Spend it well and check in on those you love. You never know how much that kind word or hug truly means. Those deeds are enough to save lives.
