Personal. Present. Powerful: When God shows up just for you

Some things can’t be captured by the camera, but they can be lived and appreciated so deeply.

Recently, I’ve been under a lot of work stress planning events that praise God went off very well thanks to my team!

I literally survived some of those days on prayer. My mental health was in a dumpster fire state (so much that my humor actually couldn’t cover it and a very sweet friend sent a therapist’s link which I may use some other time).

But, thankfully, I made it by the grace of God!

And I bounced from one event to the next.

I’ve recently been blessed to bounce to our annual business conference where I was able to tap into a network of amazing support and professionals that just get it.

We had our conference by the beach which is one of my favorite place to connect and recharge spiritually.

I’ve been much in prayer for a few things including protection and guarding my heart. And at various points as He always does, God shows up.

I don’t know how He shows up for you but He uses timing for me. That perfect timing only He can coordinate. To me that’s one of the chief arguments for His existence. Another beautiful thing about how He shows up is how personal He is. He does so in ways that are special and meaningful to you because He knows you better than anyone and He knows how to get through to you.

I took time away and skipped the reception for the dinner on our own portion. And I punched in restaurants near me in my GPS. Then I picked one that looked nice.

I ended up driving through a private community that meant paying $9 at the gate for access and eating by a yacht club in jeans. I felt out of place but just went with it as the greeter took me up the stairs and around the corner to the back side  of the dining area behind an elderly couple.

I felt out of place until I reminded myself to take it all in. I looked out at the beautiful view of the water, boats and I watched the sun disappear behind the trees leaving behind a breathtaking view.

I was in a moment of just what I needed. And God knew it more than me.

That moment felt like God saved me a front row seat to a beautiful sunset painted just for me.

In that moment I realized that maybe sometimes what we need most is a quiet moment with our Maker to settle our soul and to stir up gratitude. What a God He is!

Check out this scripture that sums it up.

Do you know Him personally?

It changes everything.

“By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News. When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.”

— ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭7‬, ‭14‬-‭21‬ ‭NLT‬‬
