When a honeybun becomes ministry

Can a honeybun really become ministry?

I love the quote that says “do small things with great love.”

Jesus says in His Word that whenever you gave even a cup of water to the least of these you gave it to Him. Powerful!

So recently, I had a conversation with a custodial worker about my birthday. He joked about a trash bag with a “happy birthday” on it to signal someone’s special day. I told him a honeybun would do!

Later on, he returns with snacks and first of all a honeybun.

What an encouragement that was!

Someone listened and heard me.

Someone cared and took action.

And someone gave in an unexpected moment!

I encourage you to do just that today!

We make ministering to others hard.

But it’s simple.

Love others like Jesus.

Listen. Care. Take action. Give.
